Class differences in Nigeria are high, and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) are often marginalized and denied equal opportunities. The Ability Plus Initiative (API) was created to promote inclusion and empowerment for PWDs through education, advocacy, and capacity development.

Who we’re
Ability Plus Initiative is a non-governmental, women-led, advocacy organization that was founded to give voice to women, girls and children with disabilities. We believe in empowering them to change their world through advocacy, capacity building and awareness creation.
The organization promotes and strengthens the voice to persons with disability; women, girls and children with disabilities. Supporting them to participate in the global movement for gender equality, social justice, children’s rights and disability inclusion, irrespective of their political, religious and cultural differences. Through this organization, they find a platform to engage stakeholders and policy makers on their issues.
